September 1, 2007 The CRHS, Inc. recently acquired several Conrail GP38-2 locomotive numberboards that we are oferring for sale. They are $30 each and can be shipped UPS or USPS at the buyers expense, actual cost.

June 23, 2007 WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS PRINTED IN THE 2008 CONRAIL HISTORICAL SOCIETY CALENDAR?

All calendar submissions for the 2008 wall calendar must be received by August 1, 2007!! Go through your collection today and send us your best Conrail images right away for consideration in the 4th annual full color wall calendar. Please be sure all entries include a date, location and any other pertinent information as well a self addressed stamped envelope if you would like your material returned.

January 2, 2007 In an effort to help raise money for the acquisition and preservation of the Conrail N7E caboose that is being donated to our organization, we have now released a DVD from the Fall 2006 banquet. This DVD is about 2 hours in length and covers the presentation that Former Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Conrail, Mr. David M. LeVan gave at the banquet.

CRHS member Matt Arentzen, owner of Northeast Railworks is custom weathering Proto 2000 52' 6" drop-end mill gondolas in Conrail paint. The gondolas, available in two different numbers, are selling for $20.00 each, or three for $50.00. They are semi-assembled, trucks, under-car bracing and include kadee #5 couplers. The rest of the delicate detail parts have been left up to the modeler to complete. Each car is unique in it's appearance.

October 10, 2006 - If you have not yet received your copy of "The Men Who Loved Trains," by Rush Loving, Jr the Conrail Historical Society, Inc. in partnership with Brian's Model Trains has an offer you cannot afford to pass up! This 361 page hard cover book retails through the publisher for almost $33.00 with shipping.

August 28, 2006 - CRHS member Matt Snell has modeled some of Conrail's most unique equipment and provided a detailed step by step instructional how-to in several back issues of the CRHS quarterly publication. Matt has since teamed up with another CRHS member, Wes Reminder to bring the Conrail OCS train to life for modelers in HO scale.

July 7, 2006 A new feature has been established for members to take advantage of. A private Yahoo group, established for CRHS members only is available. Just follow this link.

July 4, 2006 - "Conrail Commodities" is a 168-page hardcover book illustrated with 278 color photographs. Authored by Jeremy Taylor, a former Penn Central official, this is a definate book to have in your Conrail library. These brand new books are being offered to all CRHS members at an unbeatable price of only $40, non-member price is $50 shipping included.

June 15, 2006 - We're doing it again, the 3rd semi-annual Rail-B-Q in Marysville, PA on Saturday August 5, 2006! This all day event kicks off at 10AM and will continue well into the evening hours.

Bring your camera and watch the Pittsburgh line in the backyard, or Rockville Bridge and the Buffalo line from the front porch. The former CR Pittsburgh line is right in our backyard where you can view as many as 4 trains moving on various elevations of track at the same time! Rarely is there more than 15 minutes of silence along this piece of railroad.
