As part of The Conrail Historical Society's special Conrail Express trip, we take a ride through NS's Port Road Branch. We ride along the Susquehanna River, take a visit to NS's Enola Yard, race an NS train out of the yard, and go over the Rockville Bridge.

October 17, 2009: Conrail Historical society runs a JTCX special on former Conrail Lines hosting the Pennsylvania Railroad E8A's 5808 and 5711. Here, we see Special 805 bookin' down the Keystone Line at around 70 MPH, give-or-take. Prior, there are the 15:48 on-time 670 and 16:02 on-time 665, with Amtrak AEM-7 940 and 925 respectively. Despite the weather, I hope you enjoyed! I froze my buns off for this!

The CRHS "Conrail Express" excursion train (running as Amtrak #805) crosses the Conestoga River bridge at Safe Harbor on a dismal fall afternoon. The train ran from Philly down to Perryville on the NEC, then west up the Port Road to Enola and Harrisburg, then back to Philly on the Amtrak Keystone Line.
