Spotted NS GP38-2 5290 at the CSAO Port Newark NJ Yard on Wed 07/20/2011 at 4:15 p.m. Unit still wears it's Conrail Operation Lifesaver paint scheme. NS 5290 is former CR GP38-2 8090 which was purchased new by PC (same road #) in 1973. This unit is one of several former CR units working the North Jersey Shared Assets area that still wear CR blue. Also spotted two additional CR blue units at Port Reading Yard on the same day but was unable to obtain road #s.
