Roger Durfee has been doing train photography since before the advent of Conrail. His galleries here contain photos from all the blue (and the early black and blue) years.

As Conrail continued, Roger continued shooting it. This selection of photos from the mid eighties through 1999 is from Roger's collection.

The crew takes a moment to check out a few things on the Jordan spreader stopped at AY interlocking in Akron,Ohio in this April 1982 view. AY was where the shared double track with the Chessie System started. With the ex EL no longer a through route in town, this former PC line was the way in and out of Akron. In 1994 Conrail would sell what was left of this line to the CSX, then pull out of Akron all together shortly after that.
