Our Caboose - Conrail N7E 21165
The CRHS is proud to have the opportunity to preserve Conrail N7E caboose (cabin car for you Pennsy types) 21165.
21165 was originally an Erie Lackawanna car, and on April 1 1976 it became Conrail's. Conrail used it for a few years before retiring and selling it off to a private owner on Long Island. It sat on this owner's property until 2007 when it was donated to the CRHS and was transported back home to Pennsylvania.
It is now undergoing ongoing cosmetic and operational restoration under the care of the CRHS at the M&H Railroad in Middletown PA.
