Conrail U23B 2730 and B23-7 1955 pull ENBU-2T northbound on the Buffalo Line thru Montgomery, PA on 3/2/89. The head end trailer was picked up at KW Yard in Rockville, PA and the frames behind that came out of the Dana Corp. in Reading, PA and were destined for Oshawa, Ontario. With the 82 cars behind them, no doubt they'll be getting a helper at Emporium.

By this 1989 date GE U23-B's were hard to come by, let alone a pair of them. This day's BUPI had 2740 and 2708 for power as it passed through Lowellville, Ohio on their way to Conway via the Youngstown Line. Both units were former Penn Central.

A set of 3 Lehigh Valley U23B's work the former PRR/PC South Akron yard with OM-8. This was the first non-PC or EL power to show up on the new ConRail in Akron- only 3 days into April 1976. LV 502 would become CR 2778.
