The CE16A class was built by ACF in 1968 as EL 20100-20149 & 21455. Cars became CR 886077-886178 & 886691.
The H44 class of covered hoppers were built by ACF between Aug-Sept 1964 as PRR 260121-260410. 170 cars carried their PRR number to Conrail and were numbered into the CR 884665-884843 series. The 109 cars that had been renumbed to PC 885019-885304 became CR 885019-885304. PRR 260397 and PC 885237 were never renumber to Conrail and lasted well into the Conrail era. Cars are rated at 100 tons and have 3700 cuft capacity.
The H54 class of coveed hoppers were built by Pullman Standard in 1971 as PCB 888749-889999. 1234 cars made it to Conrail and became CR 888749-889999. Cars are rated at 100 tons, 4785 cuft and are 59ft 2in long. Conrail's H54 class was a group of 1250 PS-2CD cars built and leased to the PC, originally given PCB reporting marks to distinguish them from cars governed by the PC's bankruptcy process.
