Cleveland 2010 Convention - Macedonia Car Shop Night Photography Session
Two former Conrail pieces of equipment are returned to their former numbers for a night photo session on Friday evening. A big, big thank you to Brian Alesin for providing the lighting. Conrail 6710 "was" NS 5405, CL 4177 "was" LC 78302.

Lots of CR blue to be seen as Rodney poses his truck next to the 6710. Thank you Rodney!
As we were taking the 6710 shots the crosstown job came in with a former Conrail SD40-2 trailing. Since he cut away from the train and stopped for a few moments we took advantage of the new photo op and captured the blue SD under the moon and Jupiter.
Convention attendee Nate explains some of the inner workings of the SD50 to Tim.
CRHS members were treated to the "Buffalo" backing down the Cuyahoga River at Drawbridge tower. This ship had just delivered a load of ore to the mill up river.
CRHS cameras click away as the Buffalo pass under Bridge 1.

You had to see it to believe it- Rodney had a timeline/slogan display on Conrail that went from wall to wall, seen here as Joe checks it out. It was fantastic and very informative Rodney, thank you so much for setting it up!

I think Mother Nature is trying to reclaim this E unit at LTEX...
Our group enjoyed a tour of the Macedonia Car Shop. There was a Southern boxcar there up on jacks to view.
Our view out the window of Bridge 1.
Joe will probably kill me for posting this one, but Melissa deserves a big thank you too for all her help. I'll title this one "The Blue Kiss"....
The view that the CRHS convention attendees saw as we began our tour of the LTEX facility. Locomotives of all types and heritages can be seen, including many former Conrail GP15-1's.
I forget who I gave my camera to, but thank you for grabbing this shot of all of us on the 6710.

Looking like so many Stonehedge monoliths, these EMD 16 cylinder engine blocks are scattered about LTEX.
Fresh paint on two LTEX units. Can anyone help with the model of the 600?
LTEX 3000 got a bath just before the CSX local showed up to take it west.
Brock is all smiles as he looks down from the cab of the 6710.
We were treated to several CSX trains on the former B&O main that passes by LTEX. The leader on this Q137 is the CSX 8854, a former Conrail unit.
Here are the cut up remnants of what used to be a CR GE C30-7A. If you look closely you can even see a six axle GE truck sitting in the weeds as well.
